I apologize for the lack of updates, dolls! The past week has been a whirl wind of chaos, in fact I'm quickly writing this in before having to get 3 chapters read of my bus.law text ... bleh, those chapters are seriously NEVER ENDING) Anway, I've been strssing hard lately and felt like I was having a nervous breakdown last night, but I think I'll be ok. To sum it up:
-Conditionally sold place
-Picked out a place we liked...
-Decided not to move, terminated c/s (long story ... you can ask if you're so inclined)
-Wedding coming up in five months, STRESSING
-School work like crazy ... and this semester's courses have been much harder for me
-Sister moved to Vancouver for three months :*(
-Oh and BUSIEST it's ever been at work, srsly, Feb is the month when everything is picking up around here. -Most days are just a blur.
One thing I was happy about though, was seeing how easy it is to sell your own place. I think a lot of people in the real estate industry want to scare people into thinking they aren't capable of making a simple buy/sell transaction. I think realtors are valuable if you dont' have the time to read fine print, do some research, but if you DO have the time, no harm in trying to save yourself a few thousand dollars, right? For your consideration...
Hope you are having a good week!

L'oreal The One Sweep Eye Shadow
Hi!
At Shoppers the other day I came across this amusing new eyeshadow idea from L'oreal.
It's called the One Sweep, and it promises to give you the professional look of hilight and definition with one sweep. I thought it was pretty far fetched but very creative on their part, and at only $10, I decided to give it a try!
You can see the colors from left to right - the outer corner, base, and hillight color. You line up of the curves of the brush with the curves of your eye. Here are the instructions:
And here is the result:
I was actually a lot more impressed with this product than I thought I would be. It looks really nice, and it does give some good contour and hilight. I think its great how the brush fits perfectly on the eyelid .. very innovative!
TIP: It woked about 100 times better with a good eyeshadow base/primer. I originally tried it on bare lids, and it didn't take as well. The MAC Bare Canvas paint increased the results tenfold.
It's really nice if you're in need of a soft, well put together look quickly. There are about four different color palettes to choose from and I definitely plan on buying more!
Have you tried this? What did you think?
8th Anniversary Party
Good Morning!!!! Such a beautiful day in Seattle this morning. Just a little teaser letting us know that spring is right around the corner. Hopefully this sunshine will last through the evening tonight where SEVEN has a great party planned in celebration of our 8th year in business. What an amazing 8 years it has been. When I first started with the company a little over 7 years ago, I was the 7th person hired in a 10 chair salon and in just this short time we have grown into 2 salons, over 100 stylists, and all together have just at 200 employees. Pretty amazing!
Each year we celebrate our successes as a company and this year is no exception. Tonight is about the unveiling of our new packaging for our product line, our new logo and our new website that all will be launched in late spring. It has been a lot of hard work and a lot of behind the scenes efforts, and being that I got have a sneak preview, I can tell you that all of it is AWESOME!
The Creative Team also gets to play a role in tonight's festivities and lets just say we are extremely excited to play such an integral part! Many pictures to come of pre-party action as well as during the celebration. Most likely this will event will be broken up into a few different posts!
Again, enjoy your Sunday where ever you are! Be back soon with tons of pics!!!!
Xoxo,
Jaclyn
