How about we create a video. Take parts of this (http://www.comedycentral.com/motherload/?lnk=v&ml_video=89349) from the daily show. Take parts from the 60 minutes and read out from the NY Times article etc.
Then post it as a reply to every Lou Dobbs video posted on you-tube.
If somebody who has video editing/advertising/movie making skills is willing to take on this project I can definitely contribute with fact check and some money if needed.

OK, DOS buffer issue.
A. LAW. If there is no inventory in EB2 I/C (meaning demand). Theoretically DOS should make EB2 I/C CURRENT. DOS/CIS are not that dumb, or at least as dumb as before. I would say, they are very competent now and we should appreciate their work, pre-adjudicate, publish demand data (DOS), inventory data (CIS) processing time (DOS). THEY know, from PERM, I-140, there are at least 2K demand permonth from EB2 I/C. SO they will just safely move a couple of month of PD to make sure there is demand >2800 for India/China, so they don't have to make it CURRENT (per law)
B. LOGISTICS. There could be denials, RFEs, although most (I believe almost all 100% pre-07/2007 EB2 I/C) should be pre-adjudicated now (THANK DOS CIS specifically did this so no processing time, and no waster numbers hopefully). That is why DOS has to consider that in their demand, and CIS has to consider that in inventory numbers
C TIMING. Charles is shooting a moving target as well (his job is not easy as he cannot predicate future 100% and has to follow law, and use all visa numbers, we should appreciate that). Charles has no control on CIS number accuracy (I am sure CIS is trying hard as well), how fast EB1/EB2ROW/EB2I-c pre-072007 could come in, hey even some CIS employees need vacation in summer. So he has to make sure things can be done before August, so August could be only a month for fine tuning, not massive approvals, new applications (CIS wont look at them any way but takes man power), to use up all numbers and have some new applicants to keep the inventory (demand) at decent level.
I am July 2007 PD, and we all have hopes, dreams, life, etc, can can distort our judgement. We can discuss, but may to suppoert each other, and those warriors in DC. But hey, things could happen against our best intentions, wishes, anything can happen. SO life it short, live once, enjoy the ride, love people, appreciate love, and HAVE a great weekend, have fun.

EB3 india gets only 2803 per year with350 of those going to OW. How did you arrive at the figure.

People here are giving pros and cons of doing a foreclosure.. i dont know if you own a house or not, and if you do.. dont know if you are having a perm job or a contract..I know so many people who own house and now they are in a fix because of housing market..I am not like other people who have already foreclosed..and btw.. why to blame the people and not the banks.. if i can own a house and pay mortgage which is quite same as a rent, i will better own a house and sell it after couple of years.. what is harm in that.. i may have mentioned about making profit by owning a house.. but i am not looking at becoming rich by living in a house for 2/3 years..Sledge_hammer and you are complaining all the way in the thread about people who are foreclosing or foreclosed.. but not spent your valuable time in letting people, reading the thread, know what are pros and cons of foreclosure and how it can affect 485..

Sammy boy is the newest supreme court Judge. He won by a 58-42 vote. (well, there are some votes where all 100 senators do show up and vote).
Anyways, this clears the way for next items on Senate's agenda. Immigration is one of them. Unless the hearings on NSA wiretaps take too much time and energy out of the Senate Judiciary committee. Hopefully they wont come in the way of immigration reform.

I would like to point out the differences between H1B and L1
1. There is a yearly limit for H1B (65k + 20K) but L1s are limitless.
2. A minimum wage need clause is there for H1B but minimum wage is not required to be paid for L1s. There are people in L1A visas who are supposed to be Senior Managers are sometimes paid less than 60K per annum by these offshore companies. As although they are brough in L1A visa they are in fact developers.
3. Almost 99% of the L1s are from offshore companies whose main intention is to send the project/job to offshore, most of the H1Bs do not have this intention.
4. L1s cannot change their employer, so they are bound to follow what their offshore employer ask them to do i.e try to take the job offshore, H1Bs can change employers, they will not try to send the job to offshore as they will then eventually have tomove back to offshore.
So if we clearify these points even to the antis, I hope they will understand who is the real culprint for the employment scarcity. Each of these companies are moving thousands of jobs out of this country making the problems for Citizens/Green Card holders/H1Bs.
99.99% of all the L1s are not used as they were intended when the law was signed.
All these may be true. No matter how you convince antis, they won't support any foriegn worker here. They want all of us out.
Even if authorities bans all these L1s, outsourcing will not stop. On the contrary it will intensify.
Before the 2001 recession, many companies were reluctant to outsource their work to India or other countries. When recession hit in 2001, many companies overcame this inhibition and started outsourcing jobs in large scale.
If companies find more stumbling blocks to operate their business, they will find even more innovative ways to overcome those. Remember India is no longer a back office for a low end work now. Many companies have even moved their R&D to India.

Maybe we can use the H-1 B reform bill, to recapture unused visas during the last many years. Make H-1 B tough but at the same time, release those green card numbers. Carrot and Stick approach.

This is one of the key reasons why we are not successful in our mission. All we can do is "lets kill H1/L1 so I can get GC", "lets not worry about EB3 as long as my EB2 is fine!". The only way we can make any progress is to stay united. Lets not try to find carrots that would really be sticks on people who are also part of this cause.

In the below quote gpawar says that she used the case number to find out from KCC on what date the H1 was approved. So that means we need a case number to call KCC. My question was when and where do we get this case number ?

When you call up the number, on mentioning your case #, it pulls up the date on which H1b was approved.

In filing for I-485 no one has mentioned copy of I-140 or copy of Labor cert.
My question is how does USCIS tally an AOS application to an already approved I-140 or labor certifcation and find out the PD for the application?
If you read the instructions, it states clearly that you need to proivde a copy of your approved immigrant petition.

I have got email from my lawyer too regarding the change in bulletin coming MONDAY. I am worried for my life again. Is this all worth it? Title of her mail is I-485 could be rejected in July. I am done with this damn life. I can't take it anymore.
I really feel like crying now. Sitting on h-4 for 4 years and now I see a ray of hope and that is squashed too. I don't think this is fair. This is just not fair. Why the hell in the first place they have to make it current? I feel bad for all of us.
How many hours, how much money, how much effort, feelings, aspirations, hope. so much was built on that one news and the days from then on. and today it is NOTHING. I am sick and tired of this life.
Who is there to listen to us? NOBODY. Who will straighten this mess for us? NOBODY. We support each other and today we again have just one another to fall through this.

.... If there is any sequence after Approvals, expect it this way: CPO/approval ADIT/Welcome mail (mail), Post decision/ Last processing Action= this is the date they mail cards and check/hope to find cards in mail box in 3-4days (DON'T discard as they look so very ordinary envelope....)
