I am getting ready to file I-485. Is it mandatory to apply I-131(EAD) and I-765 (AP)? I got 3yr extension which is valid till 2009 and i am not planning to use EAD anytime soon.
What if i just apply for I-485 in the beginning and apply for EAD or AP whenever there's need? Please let me know.

You can apply EAD/AP whenever you want to, provided you have filed I485. It need not be exactly at the time the I485 is filed.

Ok...the way I see this is 5000min/month at $25 (not adding taxes) is 5 cents a minutes...that is more than what I pay for my calling cards....bottom line....if your monthly calling bill is less than $ 25 there is no reason why you should get Vonage.
I think your calculation is wrong. 5000mins at $25 is less than a cent for min. Also you should include local phone which we pay minimum $17/month (I think teleblend is cheap I found is 15.99 + tax = 17 per month)

None of country gives direct citizenship without residency card. Except some extra ordinary cases.
Even local US people will oppose it. Day you become USC , more responsiblity on govt. Not only money wise but so many things govt need to give you as USC.

Well - I am not assuming that the Goldman manager "wants" to screw me/you/anybody.
I am assuming that he is there to do his job at the least cost possible. By introducing costly disruptions - we tilt the balance in favor of porting the entire division out (thereby indirectly screwing ourselves. Note: the Goldman manager is not screwing us - we are indirectly screwing ourselves by bidding up - aka UAW of GM). Since the threshold for outsourcing is quite a bit lower in a recession - I am suggesting that we don't pick this fight right now and wait for a little while.

It should not matter when you file as long as your priority date is available when you file - and of course you need to be in the country when you file it (to be on safest - i would be in the country on receipt date until I get my receipt notice).
Having said that, I am not sure until when June VB will effective. I mean I do not know when July VB dates will take effect. Probably someone else can clarify this.

EB3 has a significant drop, Most of ROw applicants are filing in EB2 these days thus offsetting any significant advantage in filing EB2. EB3 will be faster comapred to EB2 some time between 2014-2015, EB3 still gets 40000 of quota.

It is not too late to write the letter, it is never too late to write the letter!!
Since the letters are only requesting fixing of the interpretation of the law, and not the law itself, there really is no fixed deadlines involved. Of course, sooner it is done, the better our chances are for moving forward.

It could also be that they are confusing your EAD with EADs used mostly by students on OPT which leads to H1B to Greencard sponsorship.

I think you need to send an email via vonage account to refer someone and the system automatically gives your account a credit when the other person signs up. Dont know if you can give a phone # and say that MR ABC should get the benefit of 'refer a friend'

Hi Folks,
In many of the articles and forums I have read that applicants spent a lot of money on medical exams, lawyer fees, and so on towards the Employee based Green Card application.
Is it legal for one to spend money (out of one's own pocket) towards getting employee based green card ?
From what I had hear from my company's legal department was that they cannot take any money from me towards the green card application as it is not legal. Employee Based Green Card is for Employer's benefit and not employee's....though it eventually helps the employee -:)
Any comments ?

The additional 22% identified as having a "No Record" are returned to USCIS Headquarters within 30 - 60 days of the date of their original submission. As mentioned in my

I got only one set of A# for both the applications. When I filed my second application I didn't have my A#. But we have mentioned clearly that there is another application that is filed on behalf of same applicant on MM/DD/YYYY.
You are lucky. Else the case goes for this conflict resolution and can take few weeks to resolve. If someone is getting such error they can post here and I can help.
