Why even this discussion. there are many who no longer work for the sponsor even before getting the GC. What do you think happens if they find out? have you heard of anybody whose GC was affected?
because this will be a question when the candidate goes for citizenship. If candidate cannot convince the officer that his/her intention was to work with GC sponsor then citizenship may not be given.

I'm in your exact same situation. Would you mind letting me know what happened with your A# and misplaced EAD with only the copy of the front side? Did you use the old F-1 OPT A# or leave it blank?

Legal is referring to me as the stuck moderator who may not like your making fun of a Representative on this forum.
I deleted a post of his that made fun of Rep. Sensenbrenner's name.
He doesn't realize that we, the IV core team, now have to go hat in hand to the same Rep. Sensenbrenner to have the SKIL bill passed through the House Judiciary committee.
Legal wants the rest of us to pay for his freedom of expression - and no value add - on this public forum.
Enough said from me on this issue.

if your application is ready to get a visa you will get it , we cant force USCIS to do some things neither its a defined process that application SHOULD be preadjudicated its like a best practice
I have recieved date july 17th 2007, Notice date sep 13th,recieved by R Williams.I have not got RFE till now, no 2nd finger printing notice. Should I go to USCIS and ask them to take a 2nd finger print.No clue that FBI Name check is cleared.WHAT TO DO?

EAD Efiling was done on Monday 06/23, but haven't used AC21 till now.
But there is a soft LUD on 485s (both mine and my wife's ) on 06/25.
I don't know exactly what is, but i think it's related to EAD renewal. Because my PD is Nov/2003 EB3 india and there is no way i'm near the end of road for GC
Efiling EAD does not cause LUD on I-485. Guess something else.

Mine is the same case....Did you have LUD on your I-485. Mine was received by J.Barrett on July 2nd and has an LUD on 8/5. Not received the RN yet.

Let me add one more wrinkle:
Do you guys think I would lose my right to use EAD if I move to another employer by transferring my H1B? (I still have 2 years on it).
Please research the forumn for answer to your question...has been discussed a lot of times before...
To answer in short...You will loose your right to use EAD if your I40 is still pending and your employer decides to revoke it...

My Labor has been approved around May 20 2007 and my employer received a letter from DOL stating the same, but the Lawyer says he never got the original Labor certificate. Now I've to file my 140 and 485 together and my lawyer is saying that he'll contact DOL and see what's going on, but he says that we can file 140 and 485 concurrently with the piece of evidence we have (the letter from DOL to my employer saying that my labor has been approved).
Will it be any problem with USCIS if we proceed this way ??

However its not the red/green dot count thats bothering me, its this needless 'sniping' using this dots system has started becoming too much on IV now. There is a reason why while giving a red dot it asks you to give a reason. Getting a red dot without a reason is like someone in the street pushing you as you are going about your own merry ways. Actually its worse, atleast in the street you can push back, or ask why they pushed you, here its like getting hit by a stone as you are walking, and you turn around and see no one. that feeling is what I hate and I get when I see red dots to innocent or even helpful posts..

It seems like the subject is solved sort of, but if your camera exports an EXIF (Extended Information or whatever it's called), it should give the focal length in the EXIF for the image. So you could take a few pictures at different lengths and view the image information in Photoshop (or whatever good picture editor you like to use).

There are 2 different dates: Notice and Receipt Date.
Receipt date is when they got it, which in your case is July 30th. This date is used to count 180 days for your 485 File date.
Notice Date is the date when they entered the information in to their system, which in your case is September 5th. This date is used for processing dates and all.

10 year law is not true. However, if your kid turns 21 s/he can sponser your GC with considerable less delay.

I have a question, I am working with my GC sponsoring employer, filed I485 during July '07. My I-140 approved during 2007. My company has applied for H1B extension (for 3 years based on approved I140) recently. Please note that this 3 year extension will stretch beyond my 6 year (H1B) period.
+ You will receive a 3 year extension only if the PD is retrogessed otherwise it will be upto your end of 6 years period. I assume this is a non-cap H1B extension of stay
After the approval for 3 years, can I transfer the H1B to another employer? Since this extension is based on approved I140, is it legal to transfer that H1B to a different employer? (I have used the terms ‘extension’ and ‘transfer’ just for understanding purpose. I am aware that I will be getting new H1B (non-cap) every time).
++ Your new employer should be non-cap company otherwise H1B transfer is not possible - If they are non-cap then your new employer can file a transfer and (a) request for validity of 3 years from the date of filing of H1B transfer filed as long as you have an approved 140 and it is not revoked by your previous employer and your PD is not current OR (b) request for the validity with the end date of last approved H1B - Most employer(s) will choose option b, to keep it simple
