How about a monthly membership of 5-10 dollars - that will be a recurring earning for IV, and as membership base grows, this can be the sustaining force.

You cannot work on EAD...but if you apply for EAD replacement and if you received receipt, then you can work on receipt for 90 days. Hope this helps.

Not having experience with that particular lens, however I would ask if you are sure you can live with a variable aperture lens that goes all the way to 5.6 on the long end...and are you sure you can live within those limitations?

This is my status.
I 140 � Approved in 2006 and have a copy.
I 485 � Filed in Jul 2007, Receipt date Jul 02, 2007. Have copy of I 485 receipt.
Perm Labor � Have perm labor approval copy.
Since it has been more than 180 days I 485 is pending and I 140 also approved, I joined my client. Now my old employer says he will withdraw my I 140.
I would like to send AC21 job change info to USCIS my self.
Please let me know if any one is in the same situation and filed (informed) AC21 by yourself.
And also advice if anyone used new attorney only for AC21.

My relatives, will be visiting from India. I cannot find anywhere what supported documents are required alongwith DS-160 during the time of interview.

For me, my attorney's filed successor in interest I-140 after I filed I-485 due to merger. I faced no issues with this process and you can request them to file the same at your end. This did not affect my I-485.

I am not sure I understand. My wife resides in Mumbai. She had her h1 stamped there some time back around 5 years. That h1 she used and is gone now. Now she applied for h1 in fresh qupta since she was out of us for more than one year. Right now so where should we go for stamping. Shes in us with me on h4. Can we go to canada?

Has any one here changed their maiden name or their spouses maiden name in the US? I heard that it takes 1 week if one hands over passport and documents in person. I plan to go to SFO CGi to get this done before filing I-485 on Jul 1st.
I recently got married and did not have time in India to change the name.
Any experiences/advise is appreciated. My apologies if this is already discussed in previous threads.

One of my friends had his 485 pending. He took leave of absence from company and went on to pursue full time MBA for 2 years.
In the middle of MBA, company had to remove him from payroll due to re-org.
Green card came in a few months.
He is now doing a hot shot MBA job using GC.
Will he face issues during N-400?
Is there anything wrong in what he did?

I thought "we are getting married soon" is implied in my post. Anyways to be more clear ..we are getting married next month i.e. December. I have recently got i 140 cleared . Next month i will have my marriage done and marriage certificate ready. Her country of birth is different that of mine i.e. not India and is current for EB-2. Could you please help me with these doubts.
1.) I have a masters degree from USA and my employer is willing to file under EB-2. my wife is bachelors. Can i apply in EB-2 for both of us and charge it to her quota since it is current for her country.
yes. Since your job profile seems to meet EB2 requirements and you qualify, you can file under EB2. She will be a dependent in this case, her qualifications dont really matter, the petition is based on your job and qualifications.
2.)Would she need to be physically here in USA for filing i 485.
for filing an adjustment of status, which is what you typically want, yes.
3.) one of my acquaintance was telling me that the GC we get using cross chargeability is a conditonal one and not like regular GC. Is this true.?
no. a GC through marriage is conditional, yours is through employment, so its not.
4.)Is cross chargeability always possible or does it depend on the will and mercy of uscis.
always possible, its the law, its not upto the discretion of the USCIS
5.) Is it true that we might have to go through rigorous and sometimes humiliating interview processes to finally get the GC.
no. Yours is an EB(employment based) case, you are confusing this with getting a GC through marriage to a US citizen. In that scenario people face a rigorous and indeed sometimes humiliating experience simply because USCIS does not know whether you are marrying only for the GC. It will be helpful if we are allowed to apply for I-485 & EAD, even if the visa numbers are not available. They could atleast throw this bone to us, which will be helpful in not needing H1B and allow us to change jobs. Hope they make this amendment to this Bill.

I filed my 485 in July 2007 with an approved I 140, My company got aquired in Nov. 2007. They amend my H1B, Recently I come to know that they file new I 140 to indicate new company is sponser of my GC. The new I 140 is still pending.
Now, I am gettig an offer by another company and that company is ready to transfer H1B. Can I change job while my new I 140 is pending
What if they withdraw new I 140 after I leave.
One lawyer which I consulted is saying that you should be fine because your I 485 was filed with an approved I 140...
Please let me know you thoughts

Thank you. I don't think there's such a thing for I-140 probably because things are not as complex as they are for an I-485. They just check for a valid labor certification wherever necessary, experience letters and the company's ability to pay, that's it.
