Halloween Outfit - Snow White

Here I am at home before the Halloween party. I updated this original post to include a couple more pics
Where would Snow White be without her Prince Charming?

Ryan's costume turned out ok in the end =) We found a ladies cape that was more prince like than the hideous black one, and other than that, he just wore his own clothes. I think he looked great!

My Halloween Snow White Make-Up Look!

Once upon a time as a queen sits sewing at her window, she pricks her finger on her needle and three drops of blood fall on the snow that had fallen on her ebony window frame. As she looks at the blood on the snow, she says to herself, "Oh, how I wish that I had a daughter that had

Skin white as snow,
Lips red as a rose,
Hair black as ebony"...

With my fair skin and dark hair, I've been destined to be a Halloween Snow White my whole life.

I kept the rose red color the main theme throughout my Snow White look. Red nails and red lips to match the red of my costume.

Revlon Superlustrous lipstick in Scarlet, and Revlon Top Speed Nail polish in Cherry.

Hair:
You may have noticed that my two toned ombre hair was gone. After all, I couldn't have dark blond ends if I wanted to channel Miss White properly.
Since I decided on Snow White as a costume over a month ago, I went through many ideas of how I would do my hair.
First I bought black spray. I thought it would work perfectly! Wrong. It just saturated my hair, and the color would rub off when I tried to style it.
Next I bought a black wig, but it was WAY too gothic for Snow White .. I looked like a witch.
Finally, while trolling the hair isles of Shoppers Drug Mart, I came across this:

Fanciful Temporary Hair Color in jo 13: Chocolate Kiss.

I was super happy with this stuff; it's so easy to use. After washing and towel drying my hair, I simply applied it and styled. And it shampoos right out. Easy!

So while my hair wasn't quite "black as ebony", it was blond free, and all over dark.

I loved being Snow White for Halloween this year, I had a lot of fun creating the look and channeling the Fairy Tale Princess for the night.

Halloween Haunting

What are you being for Halloween this year?
The past two years I have not dressed up, but this year I will be!

Pics From Halloweens Past:

A "Sexy Bunny" in 2006. I know. This was the only pic I was able to salvage, and I look a little worse for wear!

A Pink Fairy in 2007..

What will I be in 2010?

Snow White!

Here is the costume I bought at the mall a couple of weeks ago:

Scandalous, I know. But isn't that what Halloween is all about?

Ryan is being a Prince!

Are you going to dress up?
