Shopping Bag - Covergirl Lip Perfection Lipsticks, Sake, and Wine Haul

I adore Covergirl's new Lip Perfection Lipstick collection. Their pinks are to die for! I like the casing too, and they are quite moisturizing for a traditional lipstick.
They promise to give you "more beautiful lips" in just 7 days =)

Of course I got the brightest pinks of the collection. Below, 400 "Temptress", and 385 "Feline". I love the names they gave the lipsticks. Wouldn't that be the funnest job? I want to be a professional lipstick namer. I could just sit around dreaming up new and fantastic names for pretty pink lipsticks all day .. I've been on the hunt for "Sweetheart", the prettiest pink imo, since the collection came out, but it's always sold out b'time I'm in front of them.

^Left:Feline, Right: Temptress^

Feline On Lips:
It has quite a bit of sheen, and goes on almost like a gloss, but with a lot of pigment.

Temptress of Lips:
This is a lot brighter in real life, and as you'll see, it's a lot more opaque than feline. The pigment is incredible.

Over all I'm really satisfied with these lipsticks. The color lasts a long time on the lips.
Repurchase? Definitely!
I give them 5/5.

Wine Haul:

Me and Ryan recieved a lovely gift card to the "Wine Cellar", a very impressive downtown underground wine boutique, just like a vintage wine cellar. Saturday we spent a good amount of time browsing the aisles, country by country and selecting all new wines we had never tried. We got a shiraz, merlot, pinot noir, chenin blanc, and champagne from various regions of the world including South Africa, Italy, France, Australia, and USA.

I also couldn't resist this little bottle of Sake. I think warm Sake is such a nice treat on a cold winter night:

But now I want a sake set!

Here are my faves:

Sitting inside on a rainy evening by a fireplace, with some delicious sushi and hot sake served with a beautiful set - perfect.

There is also this HK sake set:

Charming, but I'm not sure how I feel about drinking strong alcohol from such a childishly themed sake set. Just a little ... off putting?

I also decided to wrap up my 30 day blog challenge in this post.

Blog Challenge Conclusion: Day 26-30.

26:What kind of person attracts me:
I don't think I necesarily have a specifiic "type". It's just a feeling I get when I am attracted to someone right off  the bat. How they make me feel in their prescence; if they make me feel sexy, confident, special, or unique, but genuinely and without trying to make me feel this way. Its all natural; something I can't quite put my finger on but know is there.

27:A problem I have had:
I've had issues with self confidence that has manifested itself differently in the past.

28:Something that I miss.
Summer! Nice weather, beaches, sunshine. Songs or the smell of perfume from last summer will make me miss it even more. I can't wait to drop the fricking top. (Of my car that is!)  It feels like it has been winter FOREVER right now.

29:Goals for the next 30 days:
Pass all my courses! Keep wedding planning on track. Begin toning up for the wedding.

30: Highs and Lows of this month:
Highs: Laughing lots
Lows: Weather

I hope you had a marvelous weekend =)
Have you tired these new CG lipsticks?

Outfit - Tight and Bright Girls Night!

Hallo, Dolls!
How are you?
Friday was our February Girls Night, and the theme was "Tight and Bright"! We all dressed up in our craziest tight and bright outfits and hit the town for dinner, bowling, and clubbing after =)
Here the outfit I wore. I didn't own anything "tight and bright" so wanted to get something I'd at least wear again. So I hit up one of my favorite stores American Aparrel and fell in love with this dress:

Dress and Socks - American Apparel. Shoes - Guess

Here we are bowling. So much fun going out like this! You should've seen the looks we were getting, I think people thought we were crazy, but when you're with a big group, you really don't care!

Afterwords we hit up the club. I haven't been to a nightclub in AGES, so it was hilarious going and seeing how people are there. "You look like a mermaid .... I didn't know a mermaid could use an ATM", was definitely my favorite line of the night.

Hope you had a good weekend!

83rd Academy Awards

I hope that everyone is getting excited for the Oscars tonight!!!

Here is the list of nominees just in case you forgot! Whatever your plans happen to be, enjoy your day and evening! I'll be on the look out for best hair and dress!

Let me know who you think will win in your favorite category!

Happy Sunday!

Built for Man Fashion Show

I had the pleasure of attending one of my friend and co-worker's fashion show this past Tuesday night. Francisco Hernandez is one of the most talented, passionate, artistic and unbelievably energetic force to be reckoned with I have ever been around. Not only is he an amazing hairstylist but a few years ago, he started his own fashion line for men called "Built for Man". I really don't think Francisco sleeps!

His latest collection was celebrated and shown off in the best of ways...The Ferrari dealership up on Capitol Hill in Seattle. Even though there was a major threat of snow, the show went on. I was so excited to be a spectator at this event and I took many pictures. Have a look below...

DJ Mike

Me and Lorenzo

Me and Cameron

Some of the Attendees

Claire and Noah, crazy kids :)

And on with the show! Thank you Francisco for the use of these fabulous pics!

Congrats Francisco!!!
Wonderful Show!

Make sure to go and visit Francisco at his new store in Seattle.

Blog Challenge - Day 14 - 25

I'm determined to finish this little challenge, mainly because I strongly dislike starting something only to let it fall to wayside and never be thought of again. But also because I haven't had time to put any review/outfit/face posts together, and this will help me get my blog mojo back!

I guess technically it's kind of cheating since I'm packaging days 15-25 all up together in one post, but cest la vie!

Earliest Memory:
Running from the dining room to living room (they were connected) in the house I grew up in, while my mom tried to catch me in her arms. It was a game I'd play with her, she'd pretend to almost swoop her arms down and catch me, and I'd have to be fast so she wouldn't.

Favorite Tumblrs:
I don't follow Tumblrs. Really, I'm not as socially plugged in as it appears; this blog is really my only spot on the web that's consistently updated - I don't Twitter (tried twice but got bored), and haven't uploaded any new facebook photo albums in over a year.

Views on Mainstream Music:
I'm pretty into mainstream - it might not be cool or hip or unique enough, but I LOVE Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, etc. The most I lean towards non-mainstream would be Tiesto, Van Burren, Kaskade, Guetta, but even those would be considered mainstream nowadays. I don't like any straight rap or country, they're both equally annoying to me. I love classical - Hans Zimmer scores and classical piano are heaven to me.

Highs and Lows of Past Year (Since February 2010)
Highs: trips to Mexico and Seattle, getting new car
Lows: Mom diagnosed with cancer

My Beliefs:
I believe in equal rights for gay/lesbian/bisexual, I believe children should be truly wanted, loved and planned for before they are brought into the world

Disrespecting Parents:
Never. But respect is a two way street, and parents need to show respect and love as well. I'm friends with my parents; they don't talk down to me, they talk across as a friend would. They give me freedom to make my own choices without constantly throwing their $0.02 in and in turn I love spending time with them.

How Important I think Education is:
It's outrageously expensive and way longer than it should be; you have to take some dumb courses that are 500 bucks each just so you can get the degree you want, which is a serious flaw of the system in my opinion. This aside, you need education more times than not to get ahead in the world we've created, so for that fact alone, I believe education to be of utmost importance. That's not to say you can't get ahead without it, but having it makes it that much easier. The world needs uneducated people to function smoothly too; all the academics of the world would be shit out of luck without cab drivers, Barristas, (and bar tenders!). My advice is find your passion and what you love doing and go with it, regardless of the letters it will put behind your name. (if any) Don't get a degree just for the sake of having one, but know that having one will almost certainly allow more doors to open for you.

One of My Favorite Shows:
I could never pick one. I love Four Weddings, Toddlers & Tiaras, Big Bang, Two and a Half Men, and any of Gordon Ramsey's shows.

How Have I changed in the Last 2 years?
Physically: from bleach blond to my natural hair color, gained some healthy weight, (was too thing b4), longer hair
Emotionally: happier, more grounded

Give Pictures of Five Guys Who Are Famous I Find Attractive
I can only think of 3:

^Just Straight up GQ SEXXXY (The Balester)
^Too young but still hot (Tay Lautner)

^Unique and hot. (Cam Giganet)

Favorite Movie and What it's About:
Revolutionary Road - it's about the extreme ups and downs of a couple who live on Revolutionary Road.

Someone Who Fascinates Me and Why:
Anyone who's overcome great struggle to achieve great success. People who have "made it on their own"

Hope you all have a splendid weekend, and thanks for reading these little thoughts of mine.

Ok...A little delayed; only because Seattle is supposed to be having "Snowapocolapse" for the past 2 days. Barely any snow here but on with the show! Everyone had such an amazing time and everyone was unbelievably receptive to the new logo and packaging!!!!
