We have do it in a smart way. We need to get the atten of media.
Send the flowers on july 10th. If lot of people do this the media will cover this.

These guys are so paranoid these days that I would not be surprised if they send for bomb sniffign dogs and anti-anthrax teams when they receive several flower packages on the same day :rolleyes: :D

Related question, did you (or the other people) face considerable hassles for their I-485 approval(s)?
It was my case. I received a few responses like that (my I-485 has been pending for 3.5 years). I would not take it close to the heart. My case, however, has been approved before Feb 2008 memo implementing 180-days rule for FBI name check.

Did anyone go to San Jose ASC at Charcot drive for their Biometrics?
I would appriciate if you can share your experience, in trems of, what time of the day did you go, was it crowded, how long did you wait, are the kids allowed inside, ease of the bio metrics process, have you been there before your actual appointment date, if yes what time of the day did you go and how soon were you done.
Also if your LUD changed after the appointment and did you call the FBI number to verify whether the prints were right?

I found this while searching. That matches my scenario exactly - Please let me know if what the users have posted is accurate. i.e., i can be in india (without payroll) till my h1 validity - this would not have my h1 revoked.

If you have your 140 approved, then if Emp A withdraws may not cause any damage, but if your 140 is not approved and if Emp A withdraws it, certainly cause a big damage.
What happens if I transfer my H1B from A to B (A has concurrently filed I140/485, >180 days, I 140 NOT approved). Can I have B do AC21 after I 140 from A gets approved (may take 4-5 more months) ? Do I HAVE to be with employer "A" till I 140 gets approved? (employer A does not intend to revoke I 140...and I understand there is a risk if ther is an RFE on I 140 during this period)

It means if you have aa approved I-140 and your priority date is not current (Which will be after August 17th), you will qualify for 3 year extension of H1B. Hope this helps.

If the cause of wobble on your tripod is the effect of you touching the camera to change the settings, you may want to try the auto-bracketing [although if you have a P&S type camera, it may not have auto-bracketing], which takes three (or five) shots with varying levels of under/over exposure [you can select how much on each photo, and adjust where you start from by adjusting the overall exposure compensation, so if you set +/-1 stop and then start with +1, you get 0, +1 and +2 exposures of the same subject, taken in sequence by the camera...]

I have a H1B visa and I am working for a company in NY state. I will be leaving the company on this Friday (laid off) . My company has informed me that they can hold my H1B for upto a month after which they have asked me to leave the country if they cant find another assignment for me.
My question is :
1) Can I transfer my H1B to some consulting company , that can atleast hold my H1B so that I stay in status? If anyone knows any info on some good consulting xompanies in NYC , that would be very helpful info for me.
If you go after 1 month you will need paystubs for that month. Transfers are a little difficult to come by these days, specially the ones related to consulting companies. Try and find a job asap and make sure you paper work(stubs,new company) is upto date
2) My wife is on H1B as well .. If I go as a dependent (H4) on her (in case I dont find a job) , will I still be able to shift to H1 in the middle of the year or should I wait until Apr 2010 until the qouta opens? I also would like to know how long it takes for a H1 to H4 transfer and what are the procedures for the same.
Yes h1 to h4 is possible. Might take around 3-4 months. Cant leave US till you get a response. You can come back on h1b when you get another job. You will not be counted against any cap, will not have any time limitation and period spent on h4 will not be counted against your h1b time. However USCIS knows people are doing this so ofcourse there is increased scrutiny while going from h4 to h1
3) Can I go from H4 to F1 and then back to H1B when the qouta opens in Apr.
I understand you are trying to throw all you have here but changing status from H1 to H4 to F1 to h1 will raise red flags. ofcourse can be done but dont expect USCIS to be happy about it. They might throw a bunch of RFEs so make sure your case is solid.
Consult with an immigration lawyer - that will be 200$ well spent. This is no joking matter. You need good advice. This forum can give you an idea but what you really need is professional advice
