    I just received notification that my approved 140 (which got approved way back in 2007) is now moved to USCIS. Has anyone seen this before?

    Exact status is as follows

    Post-Decision Activity

    On October 27, 2009, a USCIS office received this case from the State Department with a request that we review it. We will notify you when we complete our review, or if we need something from you.     what you said is quite possible; though the person seem to be aware of vonage deal and was little worried of possible impact on teleblend's business. (They have $49.99 unlimited India plan - simply doesn't make any sense now...) I am calling them now, Again. Usually teleblend offers good quality services at lower price than vonage or lingo. If they don't come up with a good solution, I will move to vonage by this weekend.

    I called them. The rep was aware of the Vonage deal and offered only $ 4 rental and 2.9 cent per min to india. So I am also thinking to move to vonage.

    I got one more email with the update (this is third email with the same staus "CPO"). This time I have SLUD on EAD and AP also. Here is the email...

    Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

    Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

    On September 14, 2010 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

    My wife received here Welcome letter but I did not get one yet. Here is my timeline...


    09/08/2010 - CPO emails for self and wife
    09/09/2010 - Got emails updating the status to Decision for self and wife
    09/10/2010 - Standard CPO email to self
    09/11/2010 - Wife got the welcome letter (I-797) by USPS
    09/15/2010 - CPO email to self with the new message (Document sent to address on file)

    Still waiting for cards in hand.

    Mine is somewhat similar

    09/10/2010 - CPO emails for self and wife (Friday)
    09/11/2010 - Got emails updating status to Decision for self and wife (Saturday)
    09/13/2010 - Got CPO for wife and SLUD for me in the morning and CPO for me in the evening

    I have not received any welcome notice till now, but it is too early as I guess I have to wait till Friday or Saturday.

    Looks like there is no specific pattern in the way this is handled. Some get Decision first followed by CPO followed by post decision activity, some get CPO first, some get post decision activity.

    It is economy. DOL vitually halted PERM approvals. Companies are not sponsering GCs as they used. If you give an Ad today, you will get 10 times resumes. So there is no easy way to get an approval.

    I think we are assuming that this will continue to be the case through Oct 2010. What if DOL changes policies with PERM approval tomorrow or the economy starts improving by March? EB2 ROW is current and there will be quite a few PERM's from them which will be adjusted immediately. We'll have to wait till the Sep results are in and the data is adjusted with 2005 EB2 numbers. Hopefully all < 2005 should be taken care of for EB2.

    My priority date is current since september 2010.
    My H1B transfer application is with USCIS since Aug 27th, 2010. The date for transfer requested is Novemebr 1st, 2010.
    My I 485 was filed in Aug 2008. I have been working with the current sponsoring employer since 2005, no breaks.
    I am expecting an RFE for my I 485. Anyone who was in similar situation share what kind of RFE is likely to be issued? I already have a job letter from the new employer essentially stating same kind of work duties.

    Guys, this discussion is not going anywhere..

    I would request stop replying on this thread and let it archive. If someone has to report the fraud he would have done it long time back.. this thread is just to provoke others and thats it.

    I am not in support of any fraud but also not in support of provoking anyone for no reason.
    There is a well documented process in each organization and in government on how to report the violation. If someone has any issue please follow the guidelines and do the needful.


    Read between the lines and you have just confirmed my translation.

    I am assuming they have a clerk who has been instructed to do this.
    Lets not worry about it, lets keep sending the letters

    If clerk is doing this as per instruction means, we are being noticed and that is precisely what we wanted anyways. I don�t think USCIS higher ups have any malicious intent. Whole issue may be due to lack of training of IOs.

    I heard that we have to provide all the address where we stayed in USA for filing I485. But very first time I came to USA almost 6-7 years back for short term and I do not remeber the actual address. Basically i do not remeber very first two address when I came here for short term. Is it a matter of concern.

    I believe if you get your Credit score reports from Experian and others, it lists all the addresses you ever lived in USA. You can get free Credit score reports from agency once a year.

    anyway, I understand the lawyers need to be paid! I just want them to stop changing the rules in the middle of the game. Its been a long frigging wait and now this.

    My hope is that there was some misunderstanding and that they will just quietly remake the offer and give me the job back.

    At will employment does not mean you can discriminate. Its akin to firing someone if they get pregnant or me leaving because I did not like the skin color of my boss. Both are discriminatory if they can be proven. In this case it can be.

    I dont think it's true, I saw these rates are under international calling plan, so we are not signing up to that plan, so I would strongly believe that all cell phone calls are included to India, the same thing you can see when we click on the 60 countires list.....so find out with the tech support guys and keep update here to get the accurate answer on this...

    I just spoke to customer service .they mentioned all cell calls to india are free under this WORLD plan.who ever is signing up , can proceed , can call customer service to confirm this as well to avoid any surprise charges

    Most makes sense but I don't think any candidates wait for their companies to file for EB1. EB1s can be filed by the candidates themselves. Right? All in all, if this happens, it will be good news for atleast a couple of 1000 EB2-I. :D

    EB1A/EB1B does not need but EB1C needs employer and was exploited by the Indian companies to the max. possible extend for the so called global managers

    Note:
    This Lawsuit Idea is on hold for the following reasons:
    a) Not enough interest in the affected parties
    b) Cost of the litigation would be upwards of around 30K
    c) The counsel has recommended to hold discussions with USCIS official first and give them sufficient time to respond to our concerns.

    gc26...., It seems that you have missed the point again. Any logical person will have the capability to comprehend that this thread is against visa abuse in L1 category.. If you still didn't get it, objective is to explore the options to report abuse of L1. Benefits are: genuine people still get the opportunity, reduce over supply in market, not bring wages down etc.

    Its that simple. If you can give me 1 good reason to not bring this issue up, I can definitely discuss the issue. But, stop giving me this crap about raising voice and being right...
