Guys, I received a "Processing Complete" email from the consulate this morning (Jan 9th). My interview at the Mumbai consulate was on Dec 28th. I submitted my PP to the VFS and should have it back in a couple of days. Good luck to everyone and thank you for all the posts!

Please don't get pissed with people telling you right or wrong. My take on EB-3 issue is write to Rep. Zoe Lofgren in large number, as far as I know she understand the Retrogression mess as a whole, but she's not aware the typicle problem faced by EB-3 because of the asylum(245i) given by the congress. If she would use this logic, she can go farther...

I have done my homework, and I have understood the law properly. I have time and again given logical proof, along with the text of the law, as to why EB3 is eligible get the EB1 numbers at the same time as EB2. On the other hand none of the detractors have provided proof, or material that shows EB3 does not qualify.
And for all those holier-than-thou EB2, what is about the letter campaign to get NSC/TSC to process application according to PDs (no lawful basis for that), and asking the removal of NSC bosses and what not. You seem to have different standards when you are suffering, and when others are suffering. There is a word in the dictionary for that, look it up.

Massive IV campaign for Administrative fixes
Dear Members,
Immigration Voice is starting a massive campaign to get administrative relief for our community. We have had several fruitful meeting with the administration in 2007, some of these meetings were scheduled in September, November and then in December. In these meetings, we were able to convince the administration about the implication and hardship due to current broken system. Since Congress has not been able to address our issues in 2006-07, we were successful in creating a case for administrative fixes that would give much needed interim relief to EB community. These meetings helped us start a conversation on possible administrative fixes like 3 year EAD-AP, clearly defining “same or similar” if AC-21 is invoked, and we are hearing favorable feedback.
Due to lack of action on legislative front our community’s patience is running out and we want some relief urgently to get out of probationary status. We are thus starting this nationwide campaign that will help our advocacy efforts and get administration to act quickly. There are several components to this campaign.
1) Support from lawmaker offices: We urge all our members to meet their lawmaker offices and get them to write to The President in support of administrative fixes and urging for an immediate administrative relief. The template of the letter is attached. Letters from lawmaker offices to administration get far more attention as compared to anybody else writing the same letter. The template of the letter is posted below. Please request lawmakers to give you a copy of the letter or lawmakers could copy IV on their letter to The President. thank you for your info on calling uscis and requesting namecheck info.... i called them today, asked about FP 1 and if it had been sent out... they told me to wait for FP notice but they were able to check for name check info..... name check has passed..... 485 RD July 16 2007... thanks again for uscis contact info

I have a couple of questions pertaining to GC.
My LC is approved 2 days back (Filed - May 17, Approved - May 25) I didnt know this happens so fast. We have not yet received the cetitified documents from the department so I dont know whether its EB2 or EB3.
My lawyer says it is upto the department to decide whether my case comes under EB2 or EB3? Is this right?
Now we plan to file the I-140 in June 07. Should I go for premium processing right from the first time? My company is ready to do this. But someone said on one of these websites that this creates a suspicion in the minds of the department. I dont know how true this is?
I am thinking to opt for Consular Processing. What do you recommend on this?
I have read that we can also file I-140/485 concurrently. What does that mean? I was under the impression that first I-140 needs to be approved and only then we can file the other papers.
I read in one of the posts that the 485 and EAD were approved becore I-140. How is that possible?
Now the main thing that is bothering me is the financial situation of the company. They have good money and they can afford to pay me well, but the old accountant messed up big time and filed all wrong taxes and di not maintain proper records etc. So on papers its not such a great company, but they have money for sure. How can this be a hurdle?

My receipt date is June 20 and my PD is Oct 2002. If the July visa bulletin does retrogress, will I still be affected with regards to I-765?
No. Since USCIS accepted your application when your PD was current, then you are fine.

My colleagues and friends are sending e-mails to Judiciary committee members. I am preparing draft for this mail. I am going to divide this mail into sections. One section describing what H.R. 5882 is (recapture, justice against discriminatory treatment based on country of birth, USCIS efficiency) and another sections would describe what it is not (not amnesty, not an increase in numbers). I made a service req on sept 6 and they opened it on Sept 30 and assigned it to an officer. They enquired took detailsof my fedex , etc. and now they sent a letter. Due to un-avoidable confusion and uncertainity with the current lawyer, I think I have got no choice to file another 485 with the other pending I-140. Not doing so might result in the 1% chance that my current lawyer did not file 485 correctly. But I will withdraw one 485 application once I get both the receipt numbers. Hope all goes well.......any inputs?

Also you might end up paying more in future instead of saving anything out of this entire foreclosure ..

As long as you are not completely satisfied you should be able to return it and price is an element in customer satisfaction. That's why stores do price match so you don't need to return their merchandise. Stores that don't do price match deserve their goods to be returned.
