Happy Labor (Color of Fall) Day!

Happy Labor Day!!! It happens to be a pretty lazy day in my house.
Even though in the rest of the country it is still summer, it has completely come to a stand still in the North West. Fall has arrived...Pretty sure it never left to begin with. It makes me think of a few of my favorite things...

  • Chai Tea Lattes
  • Pumpkin Spice Lattes
  • Halloween
  • Thanksgiving
  • Football Season
  • Fall Leaves
  • Fall Rain
  • Boot Season
  • Baking
  • And last but not least...Changing up your HAIR COLOR!!!

Whether you are blonde and just want a little more depth without losing your blondeness, or you are a brunette or a red head who wants a little more spice to her life, ask your stylist/colorist how you can add a little more pizazz to you hair!

You don't have to go overboard in order to create change with your hair color. Some times all it take is a gloss that will add a ton of shine and vibrancy to what you already have. If you have all over highlights and you've washed out over the summer, try adding a few low lights to the mix to add depth and dimension. Low lights doesn't have to mean dark brown. It can mean subtle golden light brown shades or light auburn pieces. Or it could mean weaving in a richer version of your natural hair color.

The biggest thing when wanting to change dramatically or subtly is to consult with your stylist about what colors work with your skin tone and eye color. Super important. Generally, olive skin tones should not have red, gold or copper tones right around the face. It can make one look sickly or just plain green in the face. Make sure you ask your stylist what will look best on you!

So, look through those new fall magazines and gather inspiration for the new "Fall" you! :)

Happy Labor (Color of Fall) day!!!
